Health Net, a California subsidiary of Centene Corporation and a Medi-Cal managed-care health plan provider, has announced a $4 million grant to Self-Help Enterprises to support completion of Morris Village, a 45-unit affordable housing community in Modesto, expected to open in spring 2028. The investment will help close the project’s funding gap as part of Health Net’s broader focus on housing challenges as a key driver of undesirable health outcomes in underserved communities statewide. The award will also help connect Modesto residents with health and community services.
