ARRL the National Association for Amateur Radio has announced a $1 million gift from James M. Galm, an entrepreneur and amateur radio operator from Chardon, Ohio, to strengthen STEM education programs, protect the amateur radio spectrum from from changes to public policy, and boost ARRL’s endowment to support long-term operations. A 50-year ARRL member, Galm is the co-founder of LayerZero Power Systems, an engineering company. The award will also fund efforts to develop future innovators and expand pathways into wireless technology and related fields.
