Naples Children Foundation awards $1.2M to Harry Chapin Food Bank to fight childhood hunger

Naples Children Foundation has awarded a $1.2 million grant to Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers to combat childhood hunger. The funding will expand school-based and take-home food programs, partnerships with early learning centers, after-school programs and other community agencies, helping children maintain access to nutritious meals during evenings, weekends and school breaks. The grant is part of NCF’s broader $30.6 million investment in Collier County nonprofits. In 2025, Harry Chapin distributed 38.7 million pounds of food, serving nearly 300,000 residents monthly across five Southwest Florida counties.
