Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation names its 2026 Quantitative Biology Fellows

The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation has announced its 2026 Quantitative Biology Fellowships awarded to three early career scientists advancing computational cancer research, Recipients–receiving $240,000 each–are: Minsoo Kim (University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center), Sahana Kuthyar (Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center), and Matthew Leventhal (Dana-Farber Cancer Institute). The new cohort is using machine learning, network modeling, spatialomics, and multi-omics analysis to investigate breast cancer risk, immunotherapy response, infection risk in immunocompromised patients, and genetic drivers of cancer. In its seventh year, the program supports research at the intersection of computational science and biology to accelerate precision medicine and improve cancer detection and treatment.
