The Harvest Foundation in Martinsville, Virginia, has awarded $6.4 million to Connect Health + Wellness and Piedmont Access to Health Services to establish school-based health centers across Henry County. The funding includes $2.64 million for Connect Health + Wellness and $3.75 million for PATHS to develop on-campus medical facilities at Laurel Park Middle School and Albert Harris Elementary School. The centers will provide services such as sports physicals, immunizations, and primary care to students and staff. The initiative aims to reduce health-related absences and improve academic outcomes by expanding direct access to health care within schools.
