$125M brings Akron, Dayton, and Sioux Falls hospitals into Golisano Children’s Alliance network

Tom Golisano has announced a $125 million investment to Akron Children’s Hospital (Ohio, $50 million); Dayton Children’s Hospital (Ohio, $40 million); and Avera Health in Sioux Falls (South Dakota, $35 million) to expand pediatric care through the Golisano Children’s Alliance; a network that now totals 15 hospitals nationwide. The awards will support infrastructure, innovation, and coordinated care, including Avera’s new children’s hospital tower opening in 2027. Launched in 2025 with $403 million and now totaling $578 million, the alliance initiative aims to improve access for millions of children with plans to grow to 40 hospitals.
