Invisible Wounds Foundation receives $500,000 targeting hidden brain injury among veterans

Chicago-based Invisible Wounds Foundation has received $500,000 from the Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust, a congressionally chartered nonprofit. The award will advance research and treatments for blast-related brain injuries affecting active service members and veterans and boost long-term brain health support to improve outcomes for military communities. The funding will strengthen the Military Brain Health Collaborative, a national public-private initiative focused on accelerating discoveries in diagnosis, prevention, and care. MBHC brings together researchers, medical institutions, government agencies, and industry partners to address gaps in understanding blast exposure impacts.
