Wolfson Children’s Hospital receives $5.5M to expand pediatric heart institute and emergency care

Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, has received a $5.5 million grant from the Terry Family Foundation to advance pediatric cardiac and emergency care. Baptist Health, which operates the hospital, matched much of the award bringing the total impact to $10 million. The funding will enable technology and equipment upgrades at the Terry Heart Institute–named following a gift in 2022–and support development of a new children’s emergency and trauma center. Improvements will include expanded cardiovascular-care capabilities, new pediatric treatment rooms and  dedicated behavioral health beds. The award strengthens access to specialized pediatric care across Northeast Florida and supports the region’s growing healthcare needs.
