The University of Mississippi Medical Center has received $9 million from Priscilla and David O’Donnell to strengthen pediatric cardiac care at Children’s of Mississippi in Jackson and statewide. The commitment includes a $4 million endowment to provide permanent support for the hospital’s renamed O’Donnell Heart Center and an additional $5 million to fund long-term growth. The award will expand access to specialized cardiovascular services for children with congenital heart disease, heart failure, and transplant needs, while supporting multidisciplinary care from fetal diagnosis through adolescence.
