New Jersey Health awards Rowan U $1.18M to seed 25 early-stage public health research projects 

The New Jersey Health Foundation has awarded more than $1.18 million in grants to Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey, funding 25 early-stage research projects across its colleges, including the schools of medicine osteopathic medicine. The seed funding supports studies of infectious disease surveillance, cancer therapies, mental health, substance use prevention, and biomedical engineering. Designed to generate preliminary data and attract larger external funding, the grants aim to accelerate innovation and move discoveries toward clinical application, with the goal of improving health outcomes and strengthening statewide research and public health infrastructure.
