New York’s Monroe County leverages $4.5M opioid settlement funds to back 24/7 addiction clinic

Monroe County, New York, has announced a $4.5 million award to Delphi Rise in Rochester to operate the 24/7 Open Access Clinic–the county’s  drug intervention facility–through 2030. The award leverages the county’s share of national opioid settlement funds, and fills the gaps left by earlier federal funding losses. The five-year commitment ensures continued operation of the county’s only walk-in, no-cost substance use clinic, which provides immediate clinical assessments, peer recovery support, and rapid referrals to treatment and detox without barriers to access such as insurance or appointments. The clinic provides addiction care to more than 1,500 people annually.
