$225M from St. George Foundation fuels Northwestern Medicine Cancer Center expansion

The St. George Foundation has awarded a $225 million gift to Northwestern Medicine in Chicago to help construct a new cancer care facility on its Orland Park, Illinois, campus. The funding will support a $275 million four-story medical office building with infusion, diagnostic imaging, and radiation therapy services, replacing the existing St. George current facilities. Pending state approval, construction is expected to begin in October and be completed by 2030. The investment will expand regional access to cancer care, improve patient convenience and outcomes, and meet rising demand driven by an aging population and longer cancer survival.
