Elevance Health invests $5.8M to expand behavioral health and substance use disorder access

Elevance Health Foundation has announced 40 grants totaling $5.8 million to expand behavioral health access nationwide. The funding will support community-based mental health and substance use disorder programs, strengthening care systems in under-resourced communities. Recipients include the American Academy of Pediatrics, Mental Health America, and Breaking Ground. The investment advances EHF’s five-year, $150 million commitment to support behavioral health and other drivers of community health. Since 2021, EHF has  awarded $33.7 million to nonprofits reaching more than 1.7 million people.
