Florida’s Baptist Health receives $100M from Herbert Wertheim for cancer institute

Baptist Health in Coral Gables, Florida. has announced a $100 million commitment from Herbert Wertheim to support cancer care, research, prevention, education and innovation at its renamed Wertheim Cancer Institute in Miami. The gift establishes a transformational impact fund designed to expand collaboration with Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine to advance clinical trials, training, and research, including efforts toward National Cancer Institute designation and broader access to innovative oncology care. It also aims to scale a national model for integrated cancer care and prevention.
