Helmsley Trust commits $5M to expand Kaiser Permanente Moanalua, Hawaii, cancer center

The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust has announced a $5 million grant to Kaiser Permanente Hawaii in Honolulu, Hawaii, to support expansion of the cancer center at its Moanalua Medical Center. Funding will equip planned infusion bays and patient care areas within the new hematology and medical oncology wing, part of a 12,500-square-foot facility nearly tripling the existing space. The project aims to improve comfort, dignity, and access to care, including for patients traveling from neighbor islands, by creating modern treatment environments with seamless clinical support and healing design features such as natural light and courtyard views.
