Stephen Schwarzman, Blackstone cofounder and CEO, is planning a multibillion-dollar philanthropic commitment, pledging to transfer a substantial majority of his $47.8 billion fortune to expand his namesake foundation’s work in AI and education. The long-term commitment aims to build one of the world’s largest foundations focused on preparing society for AI-driven workforce and economic disruption. Building on prior gifts, including $350 million to MIT, the initiative will fund large-scale education, research, and workforce readiness programs, with the goal of improving global competitiveness and broad access to emerging technologies over the coming decades.
