NASA administrator pledges personal gift of $500K to boost Astronaut Scholarship Foundation 

Jared Isaacman, entrepreneur, aerospace investor, and current NASA administrator, has pledged a personal gift of $500,000 to the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation to support scholarships and development opportunities for students pursuing science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. The award is the largest single donation in ASF’s history and will expand the foundation’s ability to identify, fund, and mentor high-achieving STEM students through scholarships, professional development, and a national support network designed to strengthen the pipeline of future science and engineering talent. Founded by the Mercury 7 astronauts in 1984, ASF has awarded more than $10 million in scholarships to students nationwide.
