Rockefeller MacArthur Zero Gap Fund reports $1.05B mobilized on $30M catalytic investments

The Rockefeller Foundation has released its Zero Gap Fund: 2025 State of the Portfolio report, detailing the results of its $30 million impact investment collaboration with the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. The catalytic capital fund–providing patient, risk-tolerant investments to attract larger pools of private capital–has mobilized $1.05 billion in private investment (a 35-to-1 leverage ratio) toward several international development projects. Underscoring the role of catalytic capital funding as development assistance continues to decline, the report highlights work since 2019 across 12 impact investments supporting climate resilience, healthcare, food security, financial inclusion and job creation.
