AC Immune SA has received a $4 million research grant from The Vijay and Marie Goradia Charitable Foundation to support the development of ACI-7104 in early Parkinson’s disease. The funding will extend Part 1 of the Phase 2 VacSYn trial by two years, enabling long-term evaluation of safety and efficacy for the anti-alpha-synuclein active immunotherapy. The expanded dataset is intended to strengthen evidence on disease-modifying potential in early symptom Parkinson’s patients, where sustained treatment effects are critical. The grant builds on prior interim results showing favorable safety, immune response, and clinical signals, and supports continued progression toward precision prevention strategies for neurodegenerative disease.
