The American Cancer Society has announced a $10 million lead gift from Stanford Health Care to support development and future operating costs of its free housing at Hope Lodge for cancer patients and caregivers traveling for treatment in the San Francisco Bay Area. The facility, part of a national network of 31+ sites,will be the first of its kind in California, part of a national network of 31 sites, and will remove housing barriers that cost families millions annually. The collaboration also expands wellness programming, post-acute support, and technology-enabled care, aiming to keep patients connected to treatment teams while easing financial and logistical strain during cancer care.
