Rowan U receives $10M to launch CFP-focused school to train next generation of financial planners

Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey, has received a $10 million commitment from Edelman Financial Engines to establish a school of financial planning as part of the Rohrer College of Business. The multiyear gift will fund bachelor’s, master’s, minor, certificate, and executive education programs designed to prepare students for the certified financial planner designation and address a national shortage of CFPs. The initiative aims to expand access to financial advice careers and strengthen workforce pipelines, with classes launching next fall. Rowan alumnus Ric Edelman will lead the new school.
