$1.5M Taub LCRF grant backs NYU and Dana-Farber research effort to develop new lung cancer therapies

The Lung Cancer Research Foundation has announced a $1.5 million grant to research teams at New York University Grossman School of Medicine and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to support development of combination therapies targeting EGFR-mutant lung cancers. Funded through a private donation from Benay and Steven Taub, the Team Science Award backs a dual-track project spanning preclinical mouse studies and a planned Phase II clinical trial. The multiyear collaboration aims to prevent drug resistance, extend survival medians, and improve outcomes for high-risk patients by advancing new treatment strategies for one of the deadliest cancer subtypes.
