The rock band Metallica’s charity, All Within My Hands Foundation, has announced a $10M, three-year expansion of its Metallica Scholars Initiative, in partnership with the American Association of Community Colleges. The workforce development program supports career and technical education across U.S. community colleges, funding student scholarships, safety gear, and training materials. With the latest investment, since 2019, MSI has invested $25M, reaching 13,000 students across 75 colleges in all 50 states and Guam. The new funding will support an eighth cohort of 15 colleges, each receiving $75,000, extending the initiative’s push to strengthen skilled trades pipelines and workforce readiness nationwide.
