Truist-backed collaborative CDFI will invest $15 million to expand veteran entrepreneurship nationwide

A grant from Truist Foundation to the Austin, Texas-based PeopleFund — part of the Veteran Loan Fund, a national CDFI (Community Development Financial Institution) focused on advancing economic opportunity for military-connected entrepreneurs — will fuel a national veteran and military spouse business accelerator. The initiative aims to deploy $15 million in loans and $1.5 million in grants, supporting 300 entrepreneurs and creating or retaining 1,500 jobs nationwide.  The accelerator will deliver an eight-week training course and up to three years of support, offering coaching, capital readiness, and access to loans of up to $350,000 and grants up to $5,000.
