Gilbert Family Foundation has announced a $6.4 million grant to Venture 313 in Detroit, Michigan, renewing support for the coalition of TechTown Detroit, Invest Detroit Ventures, and Detroit Development Fund. The renewed commitment will expand funding, coaching, and business support for Black tech founders from pre-seed through Series A, while strengthening Detroit’s startup ecosystem. Since launching with a $10 million commitment in 2022, Venture 313 has supported more than 125 businesses, helping them secure over $50 million in follow-on investment through grants, equity investments, loans, and founder development programs.
