The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation has announced a $3 million grant program to support more than 30 rural public libraries across Western New York and Southeast Michigan. The program aims to strengthen libraries as community hubs through facility upgrades, technology, youth programming, workforce resources, and expanded public spaces that improve access to learning and local services.
The latest awards come as the foundation–a 20-year limited philanthropy founded in 2015 by the late owner of the Buffalo Bills–recently announced a new strategy to distribute its remaining $802 million in assets, just as the organization has come under growing public scrutiny.
