The Lowe’s Foundation has announced a nearly $8 million grant commitment to 10 community and technical colleges across the U.S. to expand skilled trades training. Recipients include Miami Dade College, Chattahoochee Technical College (Marietta, Georgia), Houston City College, and seven others. The Gable program grants will increase capacity in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and construction through new labs, equipment, scholarships, bilingual instruction and employer partnerships. The latest commitment boosts the foundation’s skilled trades investment to more than $60 million since 2023, strengthening workforce pipelines across 30 states and supporting infrastructure and economic growth.
