Dartmouth College’s Geisel School of Medicine has announced a $5M gift from Patty and Doug Sacks ’80 to establish the Sacks Early Career Professorships. The endowment will fund two assistant or associate professor positions for five-year terms, providing flexible support for research, teaching, and clinical work. The goal is to attract and retain promising physician-scientists and teacher-scholars at a pivotal career stage, strengthening Geisel’s faculty pipeline as retirements rise. The gift builds on the couple’s previous $2M contribution to the school’s Healthy Students, Healthy Physicians program.
