Pattiz Foundation awards USC Keck $3M for Alzheimer’s early detection and prevention research

The University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine has announced a $3 million award from Norman and Mary Pattiz Foundation to advance Alzheimer’s disease research focused on early detection, prevention, and drug discovery. The funding will establish a named research fund, supporting the USC Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and its Center for Personalized Brain Health. Funded initiatives include AI-driven analysis of brain inflammation, imaging innovation, biomarker discovery, and a registry for high-risk gene carriers. The gift also endows an associate professorship in neuropathology to accelerate research translation to trials and new therapies.
