University of Alberta receives $68.4M for women’s, children’s, and perinatal health research

The Stollery Children’s Hospital and Alberta Women’s Health foundations have announced a 10-year, C$93.5 million ($68.4 million) commitment to the University of Alberta’s Women and Children’s Health Research Institute to advance women’s, children’s, and perinatal health research. The funding will support patient-informed research, clinical innovation, and improved care, including programs addressing gaps in women’s health care as well as pediatric pain management. The award is the largest in UofA history and extends a 30-year collaboration that has provided more than $82 million to the university.
