Women’s Foundation of Mississippi receives Kellogg $1.17M to improve birth outcomes and maternal health

The Women’s Foundation of Mississippi has received a three-year, $1.17 million grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to expand culturally responsive maternal and infant health care across Mississippi. The funding will support community-driven health systems aimed at improving birth outcomes across Sunflower County, Metro Jackson, and East Biloxi through local partners, including the Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health, Mom.ME, and the Magnolia Medical Foundation. The initiative aims to address disparities in maternal health by bolstering care coordination, telehealth, remote monitoring, and postpartum services. The program will focus on improved early detection and management of pregnancy-related complications as a pathway to more equitable, community-based health infrastructure across the state.
