The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has announced a $130 million commitment from Dee (‘86) and Jimmy Haslam (‘76) to further strengthen the university’s workforce readiness, academic excellence, and innovation initiatives. The award is the largest in university history and will serve to bolster student success, faculty recruitment, and research leadership. The award includes $100 million to the Haslam College of Business (renamed after a previous gift from the Haslam family in 2014) to expand student support and undergraduate honors programs, graduate scholarships, and recruitment of top-tier faculty. The remaining $30 million will back faculty recruitment efforts across the university.
