The Dollar General Literacy Foundation has announced nearly $16 million in grants to support adult, family, and summer literacy programs nationwide. The awards will support more than 1,400 schools, libraries, and nonprofit organizations and are expected to reach approximately 1.5 million learners. The funding aims to expand literacy access, strengthen classroom instruction, and improve educational outcomes for students and adults across all levels of learning. The latest round of funding continues DGLF’s investments that have distributed more than $292 million since 1993.
