Schmetterling Foundation $15M to Greater Austin YMCA boosts Four Points campus expansion

The Greater Austin YMCA has announced an additional $15 million investment from Colleen and Jim Clark through their Schmetterling Foundation to advance the development of the Schmetterling YMCA in Austin’s Four Points neighborhood. The award follows a $3 million commitment in 2025 backing the YMCA Tomorrow Academy, an early childhood education center that opened last year on the site. The multiyear investment will help complete construction of the full Four Points campus, slated to open in 2028, featuring fitness and wellness facilities, aquatics, youth STEM and arts spaces, childcare, and community gathering areas. The project aims to expand affordable family services and strengthen long-term community infrastructure in Northwest Austin.
