Virginia’s Hollins University has announced a $10 million gift from alumna Jane Parke Batten (’58) to fund a scholarship initiative. Through the Class of 2032, the endowed funds will support high-achieving, financially limited students, covering tuition, housing, meals, and fees to ensure full participation in campus life. The award strengthens the HOPE scholarship program, which now provides support ot half of incoming first-year students. The program also provides mentorship, leadership development, and academic enrichment opportunities. The award also expands long-term student access, reinforcing Hollins’ financial aid strategy and its need-based scholarship model.
