Anthropic awards $1M to expand CodeCrew in Memphis for national AI training hub

Anthropic has announced a $1 million gift to CodeCrew in Memphis, Tennessee, with support from the City of Memphis, to help build the nonprofit’s national headquarters at Northside Square in North Memphis. The funding will expand CodeCrew’s capacity to train students and adult learners in computer science and AI, tripling instructional capacity while creating space for hundreds of participants, national convenings and AI-powered education initiatives. The funding advances CodeCrew’s capital funding and strengthens Memphis’ AI workforce pipeline, building on Anthropic’s growing presence in the city through its investment in local AI computing infrastructure.
