Carnegie awards $19.4M to 12 groups addressing migration and emerging risk of global conflict

The Andrew Carnegie Foundation has announced $19.4 million in grants to 12 organizations to advance research and solutions addressing migration, conflict prevention, and the growing influence of non-state actors. The grants, ranging from $1 million to $2 million, will support efforts including early-warning systems, safe migration pathways, countering disinformation networks, and conflict analysis. Recipients include Cornell University in Ithaca, New York; Migration Policy Institute in Washington, D.C.; and Yale University’s Humanitarian Research Lab in New Haven, Connecticut. The initiative aims to generate evidence-based tools to strengthen peacebuilding and improve responses to global instability.
