Houston Methodist receives $110M for neuroscience research and women’s health care

Houston Methodist has announced a $110 million commitment from the Brockman Medical Research Foundation to advance neuroscience research, neurological care, and women’s health. The gift, the largest single commitment in the health system’s history, will establish a new innovation fund supporting research and patient care through the Houston Methodist Academic Institute and Neurological Institute, while also funding women’s health initiatives in the department of obstetrics and gynecology. The investment aims to accelerate translational research, improve diagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases, and enhance patient outcomes. Houston Methodist’s new hospital building will be named the Brockman Centennial Tower.
