Arnold Ventures commits $16M to Maricopa Community Colleges to boost completion rates

Arnold Ventures has announced a $16 million multi-year grant to Maricopa Community Colleges in Tempe, Arizona, and the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation to expand student completion and transfer outcomes across the system. The funding will launch the Commit2Completion initiative at Glendale Community College, Phoenix College, and Scottsdale Community College, with plans for systemwide expansion across 10 campuses. The program is based on the City University of New York’s Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) model, which combines structured academic pathways, advising, and wraparound supports such as transportation and emergency aid. The investment aims to increase degree completion rates, improve labor-market alignment, and strengthen upward mobility for more than 145,000 students. Related
