The National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has received a $2 million award from the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation to support its Prix de West acquisitions award, renamed for longtime supporter Ann Noble Brown. The endowment will strengthen the museum’s ability to add major works to its permanent collection through its annual invitational art exhibit. The funding is intended to preserve and expand the museum’s Western art holdings while honoring Brown’s decades-long leadership and philanthropy connected to the museum, the Prix de West Society, and the Annie Oakley Society.
