Bemidji State receives $8.1M alumnus bequest to launch rural workforce, innovation, and access programs

Minnesota’s Bemidji State University has announced an $8.1 million bequest from alumnus the late R. Allen Sunderman to establish the Sunderman College of Creativity, Enterprise and Place. The estate gift—the largest in BSU history—will endow scholarships, fund technology upgrades, and launch innovation and regional partnership initiatives, including a new Office of Sponsored Programs.
