Ricks family $20M to Purdue launches healthcare institute to drive lower costs and better patient outcomes

Purdue University in Indianapolis, Indiana. has announced a $20 million commitment from the Ricks Family Foundation to establish the Institute for Healthcare Systems Innovation within the Mitch Daniels School of Business. The gift will support research at the intersection of healthcare economics, policy, and delivery, focusing on improving system efficiency, cost, and patient outcomes. As part of the university’s One Health initiative and in collaboration with the Perdue’s engineering and pharmacy faculties, the institute will connect academic research with Indiana’s healthcare and life sciences industry. The investment aims to generate data-driven solutions to improve healthcare effectiveness and inform national policy and practice.
