University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston has announced a $10 million gift from Peggy and Carl Sewell to establish the Center for Cellular Language Intelligence to support advances in cancer research, discovery, and precision oncology. The award backs a new research hub focused on decoding how cancer, immune, and normal cells communicate at single-cell resolution using spatial biology, artificial intelligence, and functional genomics. The center will accelerate identification of therapeutic targets, biomarkers, and prevention strategies while integrating discovery and clinical translation.
