Henry and Amelia Nasrallah, emeritus professors at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine have awarded the school $1 million to establish an endowed professorship in psychiatric neuroscience. The award will fund faculty leadership initiatives and accelerate research into schizophrenia and related mental health disorders. The endowment will strengthen academic capacity in psychiatric neuroscience, supports clinical research, and advances development of new treatments. The funding will also help bolster faculty recruitment and retention while improving patient outcomes through expanded innovation in mental health care.
