Toronto Metropolitan University has announced a C$1.5 million ($1 million) gift from The Edward and Suzanne Rogers Foundation to Toronto Metropolitan University in Ontario, to strengthen Canada’s next generation of fashion designers. The renewed multiyear funding for the couple’s named fashion institute at the university’s Creative School expands fellowships and mentorships, providing access to global industry leaders and help students scale opportunities for creative and entrepreneurial development. Since 2016, the Rogers Institute has helped graduates launch labels, win international awards, and secure roles at global fashion houses.
