The New York University College of Dentistry has received a $5.48 million grant from the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities to expand its Oral Health Center for People with Disabilities. The state grant will fund renovations to equip a dedicated pediatric and adolescent disability dentistry hub, adding eight treatment rooms and more than doubling the unit’s capacity. With construction expected to be completed in 2027, the expanded center will serve children and adults with disabilities across New York City, improving access, easing care transitions into adulthood, and training dental professionals.
