The Fondation Recherche Alzheimer in Paris, France, has received approximately €12 million ($14 million) through a global “1 Picasso for €100” charity raffle to fund Alzheimer’s research. The initiative sold 120,000 tickets worldwide, with roughly €11 million ($13 million) directed to research programs and €1 million ($1.1 million) used to secure the artwork from the Opera Gallery. The campaign, a large-scale fundraising raffle, supports scientific studies and treatment development targeting a disease affecting millions. Now in its third iteration since 2013, the model expands donor access while generating major research funding through high-profile art incentives.
