Western Washington University in Bellingham has received a $10M lead gift from Fred Kaiser and Grace Borsari, founders of Alpha Technologies, to support the “Building Washington’s Future” campaign. The funds will help construct a new facility for electrical engineering, computer science, and energy science programs, designed to expand STEM capacity and workforce development. The project, part of a $20 million fundraising effort matched by the state legislature, will provide hands-on learning, foster collaboration with industry partners, and increase access and inclusion for students pursuing advanced STEM skills in Washington.
