$10M from UCLA alumnus Angelo Mazzone endows football program and student-athlete initiatives

The University of California, Los Angeles has announced a $10 million commitment from alumnus Angelo Mazzone to endow and name the football program’s head coach position and expand student-athlete support programs. The funding will strengthen academic, health, and performance initiatives, and provide infrastructure to maintain competitiveness in the ever-evolving college football landscape, including NIL opportunities and the transfer portal. Mazzone, a former UCLA athletics executive, has supported the program for nearly six decades.
