$6M to Concordia U from Wilson Foundation and alumni launches Henry Habib Diplomacy Accelerator

Concordia University’s Faculty of Arts and Science has received $6 million—$3 million from the Wilson Foundation and $3 million from alumni—to establish the Henry Habib Diplomacy Accelerator. The program aims to prepare future diplomacy professionals through mentorship, fellowships, internships, and experiential learning. Named after Henry Habib, a pioneering political science scholar and mentor, the accelerator includes undergraduate scholarships, graduate fellowships, a Public-Servant-in-Residence, Diplomat-in-Residence, a speaker series, and the IPSA-Concordia Summer Institute in Applied Diplomacy. The endowment ensures perpetual support, combining academic rigor with real-world diplomacy exposure, continuing Habib’s legacy of applied political science and student mentorship.
